Co Cultures:

creating audiences and curating opportunities across art science and design

Like an unstoppable virus the worlds of art, science, technology and design are seeping into each other’s territories. The imperative for engagement and collaboration across disciplines is gaining momentum in our quest to create more innovative and responsive solutions to the fragile environments in which we live.

In 2013 as part of a three year project supported by the Special Institutions Fund, Professor Rob Kesseler was appointed University Chair in Arts, Design & Science, a role in which he sought to draw on his collaborations within science communities and to create opportunities beyond the normal curriculum for students and staff that bridged the gap between art, design and science.

Co Cultures brings together some of the events, images and dialogues that emerged from this initiative.
